Brunswick Exploration Inc., a leading mineral exploration and development firm, has recently announced the start of a major prospecting campaign in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Quebec. The campaign includes a series of geological mapping, prospecting and an airborne geophysical survey, as well as the acquisition of soil geochemical samples.
The primary goal of the project is to identify and define the geological environment and uncover prospective gold targets in the region. The project will be carried out over a six-month period, starting in June 2021, with a budget of approximately seven million dollars.
“We are thrilled to launch this major prospecting campaign in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region,” said Taras Korchemkin, President and CEO of Brunswick Exploration. “The area is well-known for its gold potential and holds promise for future discoveries.”
Over the course of the project, a team of geologists and other specialist personnel will be deployed to the area. The team will carry out a variety of activities that include geological mapping, prospecting and an airborne geophysical survey. Additionally, they will be responsible for collecting over 3,000 soil geochemical samples from the targeted region.
The soil geochemical samples will be collected and analyzed to identify areas of higher gold potential. The geophysical survey will utilize a combination of fixed wing, low-level, and high altitude flights, as well as data analysis and modelling to build detailed digital maps of the region’s geology. The results from these surveys will be used to define prospective targets and prioritize further exploration work.
With the start of this major prospecting campaign, Brunswick Exploration hopes to unlock the gold potential in the region and further expand their exploration portfolio. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2021 and its results could lead to additional investment opportunities in the region in the future.
